KPMG is currently seeking an Associate for our Strategy practice in Deal Advisory and Strategy
Responsibilities:
- Support client engagements and Finance and Accounting (F&A) executives during significant transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures, for corporate and private equity clients
- Help identify and resolve finance-related risks and issues during significant transactions and across functional areas
- Work within a team of F&A consulting professionals, ensuring the delivery of quality client deliverables with a focus on operational F&A matters during major transactions; begin to develop long-term client relationships with key F&A executives
- Maintain project templates/tools (that is, governance structure, RAID log, taskplan, and more)
- Take detailed notes during calls with clients, summarize action items, and create a document repository of notes/actions
- Build and maintain excel based models (that is, synergy analysis, RAID log, standalone cost models, variance analysis, business case, and more)
- Collaborate across KPMGs Deal Advisory & Strategy teams on F&A engagements and/or workstreams, covering a full range of F&A activities
- Assist with go to market activities and developing associated materials
Qualifications:
- Must be pursuing and have obtained by the start date or have completed the following degrees/majors in the past 12 months: Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or similar field from an accredited college or university
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above
- Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with a strong executive presence
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with a basic understanding of F&A functions and sub-functions within large complex organizations, including Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Internal Audit
- Internship experience in accounting and financial operations management consulting or in financial reporting and consolidations a plus
- Must reside within a commutable distance of the office for this position and be responsible for your own transportation, such as personal vehicle or public transportation, to get to and from office / client locations to satisfactorily fulfill your job duties, as determined by your practice leadership; work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need; you must be located within the U.S when working remotely; client site locations may require domestic or international travel and overnight/extended stay
